Google has a habit of storing our personal information. Additionally, it also has a way to store our activities on the Internet. Protecting our privacy by removing personal search from Google is important.

As a company, Google definitely has a hold in every corner of the Internet. As a result, a lot of people not only want to know how to remove their personal search from Google. But, they also want to learn how to remove their personal information on Google.

Their search engine is what they are best known for. It has billions of use everyday. They also have services like YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Assistant, and Google Plus.

If you’re like most people and use Google services, chances are they already have a decent amount of information on your Internet activities.

Most likely, they have knowledge on your personal search from Google. These data are uses to increase the effectiveness of their advertisements.

On the bright side, however, Google allows you to choose the data that they are allowed to collect and even delete personal information entirely.

Clean up your google activity

Now that you know that Google has been tracking your personal search and other activities, let’s get to cleaning.

Consider your settings on the Data & Personalization page with the Privacy Check up. This walks you through a set of questions regarding your settings.

Remember that Google’s default settings is set up to collect data rather than provide personal privacy.

That includes “activity” settings, profile information and personalized advertising. If you’ve got a Google account, get a cup of tea (or something stronger) and spend half an hour going through each and every control.

Go to your Web & App activity

One disclaimer: Turning this off doesn’t block Google from knowing which sites you have visited. It can, however, help you with removing personal search from Google.

Web & App activity collects your searches and browsing activity in Google apps such as Chrome. As well as apps that use Google Services, such as mapping.

That is used to power previous searches and make suggestions. If you turn this off, you will not see your recent searches or personalized results.

Automatic deletion of personal searches and information

On May 2019, Google announced a new suite of auto-delete controls. It starts with your location history and web and app activity.

Whether it is true or not, It has bee stated that Google is deleting some of your personal information that they have hoarded for years.

Users can pick a time limit: three months or eighteen months for how long their information can be kept by Google. Anything older than 18 months will automatically be deleted.

It’s a positive step forward, but Google hasn’t said why it’s picked the two, almost random, time limits. But, it plans on adding the feature to other parts of its data collection model.
